“Fteri Agiorgitiko” is the result of both the selected grape Agiorgitiko, grown in the hills which surround the plain of Nemea and a few days of maceration at relatively low temperatures. Therefore, it has the characteristic dark red – purple colour and fragrances of gooseberry and pomegranate. A supple and spicy flavour with velvety tannins, yet leaving pleasant hints of spices and butter caramel. Although red, it is best enjoyed lightly chilled and provides a perfect accompaniment to flavors such as braised meat in tomato, grilled meats and coq au vin served at 14-16C.
Wine-making at low temperatures helps in the preservation of all the characteristic yet sensitive aromas of the Moschofilero grape. As a result, Fteri Moschofilero is an intensely floral wine combining the perfume of night-blooming jasmine, rose and citrus fruits. Its excellent aroma and sharp taste makes it a wine that can be enjoyed as an aperitif as well as an accompaniment to dishes such as pasta with basil, chicken ala creme, grilled prawns and pies. Served at 8-10C.
The careful choice and blending of the aromatic Moschofilero grape from the Mantinia plateau and the versatile Agiorgitiko variety from the mountainous Corinthian hills produces a harmonious rose wine with aromatic complexity wavering between rose, cherry and notes of strawberry. Fteri “Agiorgitiko & Moschofilero” is an excellent accompaniment to dishes based on fresh tomato, braised squid, even pizza and Chinese food. Served at 10C.
